The Plot

Last night’s episode was a roller coaster of emotions, the father daughter reconciliation between Aiman (Dur-e-Fishan) and Ahsan (Sarmad Khoosat) brought tears to our eyes. Aiman poured her heart out to Ahsan about how difficult their lives were because their father chose the rest of the family over his own children. Another shock was waiting for Ahsan after he asked for his share from the family business, however Asim (Gohar Rasheed) blatantly denied saying the entire business belonged to him only and Ahsan had no part in it. The very greedy Manzoor bhai and Nabila (Faiza Gillani) came to ask for Aimans hand in marriage for their son but the change in Ahsan’s financial condition made Manzoor change his mind as all he wanted was a hefty dowry which he was sure they wouldn’t receive anymore. Aiman's fiery avatar was much needed for speaking up for what was right since her parents were too nice to fight for themselves.

Affan waheed and Aimans friendship begins budding and the two are growing closer to each other, however his mother asks him to forget about marriage at this stage in life as he should be focused on his future at the moment. He disagrees and continues talking to her, after witnessing Zaid in a drugged state he tells Aiman of a rehab centre which would help him curb his addiction. She convinces Zaid to stop using drugs and disposes all of his stash, however he succumbs to his addiction and steals money from Nausheen's purse in order to buy more drugs. This creates a ruckus when Nausheen comes downstairs to confront Zaid, Aiman takes his side and all hell breaks lose. Ahsan is unable to take the stress and seems to have a heart attack just after Nausheen leaves.

Sarmad Khoosat and Dur E Fishan Saleem are the best father daughter duo one could ask for!

Exceptionally brilliant scenes between the father daughter duo played by Sarmad Khoosat’s Ahsan and Dur e Fishan Saleem's Aiman ruled last night’s double episode. Saleem and Khoosats rapport on screen is a treat to watch and the conversation between them when Ahsan hurts himself with a glass and then later on when she speaks her mind about how the entire family leeched off through them leaving them penniless was hard hitting and hit us right in the feels. Dur e Fishan Saleem proved her mettle here as she beautifully matched the brilliant performanxe of Sarmad Khoosat in the scenes, one could not tell that Saleem is comparatively a new kid on the block. The duo made us cry our hearts out and we couldn’t help but watch in awe at Sarmad Khoosat who made us tear up with simply his expressions that showed us the pain his character was feeling.

Dur e Fishan Saleem Floors us with her phenomenal acting skills!

The newbie actress has certainly made her presence felt in Pardes working alongside the legendary Sarmad Khoosat and other brilliant performers such as Gohar Rasheed, Bushra Ansari, Shahista Lodhi and Affan Waheed, dominating every scene she is in, we're loving Saleem playing the fiery avatar of ‘Aiman' who is unfiltered, raw and straightforward in whatever she does, she speaks her mind and tells it how it is. Saleem plays the mature daughter who is not afraid to speak the truth no matter how bitter it may be and this is what we absolutely love about her! From helping her brother fight against his drug addiction to defending him against all odds, she enters each scene like a trailblazer. Her scenes with on-screen father Sarmad Khoosat are an absolute joy to watch and she well matches him in every scene they are in. Kudos to her for her applaud-worthy performance.

Pardes shows us the bitter realities of expats living abroad all their lives.

Sarmad Khoosats dialogue in the drama saying “What did I achieve after going abroad for work? My kids became strangers to me" This dialogue gave us an insight to the many sacrifices he gave for his family and lost precious moments with his children and wife due to it. It is sad to see the rest of the family taking undue advantage of the one person who goes abroad, while they use his money to set up their homes and businesses while he is then left with nothing in return.

Will Aiman agree to marry Salman due to the family pressure? Will Ebad be able to tell Aiman that he has fallen in love with her and wants to marry her?
