PISA 2021: Winners & Electrifying Performances of the Night
The Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) 2021 kicked off with a bang last night at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena in Dubai. PISA was marked as the first Pakistani awards show held outside the country since the pandemic and therefore created quite the buzz. The crème de la crème of the television, fashion, music and social media industry were present for the grand event. From television stars such as Sonya Hussayn, Ushna Shah, Faysal Qureshi, Amar Khan, Mahwish Hayat and Sheheryar Munavar to social media celebrities like Dananeer, Arsalan Naseer, Romaisa Khan all were seen at the event looking their ultimate best.
Trophies for various categories including Best Actor/Actress, Best Serial, Global Influencer of the Year, Youtuber of the Year, Best Vlogger and Best Tiktoker were handed out to the most deserving winners. The night began with all the stars rolling out on the red carpet, dazzling in bespoke ball-gowns, saris, and tuxedos and the event saw some electrifying performances from a dance medley by Sheheryar Munaver and Mehwish Hayat, a beautiful performance by Amar Khan as tribute to the late singer, Noor Jehan and a soulful piece by Faryal Mehmood that stole hearts on the big night!
Legendary singer Sajjad Ali’s performance was undoubtedly the best of the night as he had the crowd cheering and on their feet by the end of it. He sang renditions of his memorable yesteryear songs like Cinderella and Mahiwal. Ali Azmat and youth icon, Umair Jaswal also gave notable performances while Asim Azhar kicked of the night with the singing of the melodious national anthem.
The show saw various hosts changing throughout the ceremony, Vasay Choudhary, Ahmed Ali Butt, Omair Rana, Mehwish Hayat, Waqar Zaka, Yasir Hussain all were seen hosting the event.

Coming to the winners of the night, Feroze Khan bagged the best actor award for his role in Ishqiya while Sarah Khan was awarded the best TV actress for Sabaat. Best OST for the year was awarded to Asim Azhar for Ishqiya and Aima Baig received the singer of the year award. The social media categories saw Jannat Mirza bag the Tiktoker of the year award and Arsalan Naseer of Chupke Chupke fame was awarded the best use of humour on social media.
