Baddua Review: Major Plot Twist Leaves Viewers Shocked!
ARY’s latest drama featuring Amar Khan, Muneeb Butt and Mohsin Abbas Haider has made quite the impact within the first two episodes. The major twist in the story this week turned the drama into a dark and twisted one leaving us wondering of what is to come in the upcoming episodes.
What we believed would turn into a run off the mill love triangle has now turned into a shock for the viewers. Here’s what happened in the second episode:
Abeer’s Betrayal Breaks Mohsin’s Heart
Mohsin catches Abeer and Junaid on a date and questions Abeer about it, he misbehaves with her and she in turn tells him that she cannot tolerate this old-school attitude of his where he is unable to trust her and thinks she is cheating on him, which ironically she was! Abeer is happy that she has finally got rid of Mohsin and can now give all her undivided attention to Junaid. Little does she know Mohsin is extremely sorry and in order to redeem himself in her eyes he convinces his mother Rohila (Salma Hassan) to accompany him to Abeer’s house to ask for her hand in marriage. While they are discussing the marriage proposal with Abeer’s family, the casanova Abeer is busy smiling away lost in Junaid’s thoughts after he just confessed to her that he seems to be falling in love with her. Her grandmother barges in and takes her in front of the guests where Abeer denies the truth of knowing Mohsin or being in a relationship with him, she pretends that he has been chasing her for quite some time but she has repeatedly refused his romantic proposals. In order to prove her point she behaves extremely rudely with him and slaps him across his face and tells him to get out of her house.
The extremely hurt Mohsin is unable to bear this loss and decides to put an end to his suffering by committing suicide leaving behind his poor mother all alone. After his funeral his mother visits Abeer’s house again and blames her for her son’s untimely death. She curses Abeer and wishes that she would not find happiness in life ever for what she did with Mohsin. This causes an uproar the house and her father physically assaults her in a fit of anger and then bans her from stepping out of the house.
We’re Loving Amar Khan as the Rebel ‘Abeer’
Poles apart from her previous role as Samra in Qayamat, Abeer is not one to cry and pity herself, instead she is fiecre, sly and can easily make someone cry! Playing the girl who will cross all limits in order to achieve what she wants, Amar Khan impresses us with her performance and has proven her mettle once again in Baddua. Her manipulative self has her poor mother wrapped around her finger and is not afraid to voice out her opinions against her conservative family. We’re glad to see Amar Khan has opted not to play the ‘bechari’ in Baddua and we can’t wait to see what fate has in store for Abeer as the drama unfolds.
Mohsin Abbas Haider’s Short Appearance in Baddua Has Us Impressed
The lover-boy Mohsin played by Mohsin Abbas Haider who was head over heels in love with Abeer in the drama had a tragic end in the latest episode after his heart broke into a million pieces when she refused his marriage proposal. He couldn’t overcome Abeer’s betrayal and decided to end his life by committing suicide. Mohsin’s short role in Baddua left a lasting impression on us and will be missed in the upcoming episodes!
