Ek Thi Laila’s Teasers Become the Talk of Town!
The latest buzz around K-Town has been about the much talked about multi-starrer, ‘Ek Thi Laila’. The teasers have garnered a lot of praise and raised quite a few eyebrows. Express Entertainment seems to have upped its game with this upcoming show.
Starring the vivacious Iqra Aziz who makes her comeback after her maternity break, Faisal Qureshi, Hassan Ahmed, Nayyar Ejaz, Gul e Rana, Maham Aamir. Helming the show is the talented Yasir Hussain who is taking up the reigns as director and leading man while the 5 episode long murder mystery story is written by Faiza Iftikhar.
The drama is based on the classic Laila - Majnu tale but with a major plot twist, the first teaser shows Iqra Aziz parading the streets of Punjab Gulley. The background score reminds us of the retro music played in yester-year classics. The two pertinent questions she asks are Who is this Laila’s majnu? and where is Laila?
The next couple of scenes show her romancing with Hassan Ahmed, Faisal Qureshi followed by all the actors bloodied in what seems to be police custody.
The Thappar brigade brought on by Yasir Hussain is what the second teaser of Ek thi Laila is all about! Viewers can see the actors being subjected to a number of hard-hitting slaps by the inspector played by the leading man, Yasir Hussain. The subject of the drama remains clouded and has us intrigued as to what the story has to offer.
The next two teasers definitely have us confused, is the young Laila getting married to an olderly man played by Nayyer Ejaz? The caption by Yasir on his Instagram post says, “Bohut hogayi tension, Bohut hogaye chantay, Ab hojaye thora Asif Lata..” This teaser is has a considerably much peppier vibe than the last two and we can’t help but wonder what the story is really about!
The fourth teaser sheds light on Constable Rukaiya played by actress, Maham Aamir. We’re absolutely loving the tough and fierce character she portrays on screen and are anxiously waiting to watch her in this very versatile role.
