Ehd E Wafa's final episode: Was it disappointing?
Ehd e Wafa, another favorite after the legendry ‘Mere Pas Tum Ho’ concluded last night with a bumper episode. The ending was truly emotional as a long journey of these four friends came to an end, but it was not disappointing like the finale of MPTH.
Although just like MPTH, the finale of Ehd e Wafa was supposed to be screened across cinemas in Pakistan, but the ongoing coronavirus pandemic did not allow for it.
A happy ending was long due. The four buddies who have had a rollercoaster journey all in their own ways, finally reunited with the goals that they had been pursuing all along. Shahzain confessed to Rani about all that he has been plotting and apologized for it. Rani, being herself, forgave him.
Dua managed to get a transfer to Muzaffarabad CMA to be close to her husband – Saad who is deployed at the LOC. Shehryar confessed his love to Masooma, while Shariq and Ramsha postponed their wedding to wait for Ghazala api. Not just this, but the SSG reunited once again, like old times and this is what we had all been anxiously awaiting.
Humayun Saeed, the much-lauded actor or Danish from MPTH also graced us with his cameo in this ISPR production. The historical Wing Commander Abhinandan scene was recreated where Saeed interrogates him. The famous tea reference was also added.
One super emotional scene of the finale is Saad getting shot in a crossfire at the LOC, but he later recovers, the news brought to us by our very own Gulzar. Thankfully, there was no death!
The drama concludes with the SSG returning to their roots, the memorable Lawrence College where they address freshmen and talk of their individual experiences.
We are definitely going to miss this amazing script that not only showed the bond between these boys, each unique in his own way, but also demonstrated the courage, ambition, and valor of the female characters. Here’s the full episode if you haven’t watched it yet:
