This week, Amanat’s story got even more complicated than we anticipated! A war has been waged in the plot and we are wondering who will win this battle of love and hatred.
Penned by Rukhsana Nigar and directed by Shahid Shafaat; the drama’s recent episode had slow developments that are bound to lead us to something exciting. Zarrar’s life is suffering from major turmoil and it seems that it is just the start of one of the most challenging chapters of his being.
Let’s do a quick review of what has been happening in the lives of Zuni, Zarrar, and Meher, and if there is any hope of matters settling between them all.
Meher and Zarrar Vs. Zunera and Junaid: The Battle Gets Intense
While Zarrar’s mother (Saba Hamid) is aware of Zuni’s (Saboor Aly) petty nature; she has united with her to team up against Meher. Our vamp wants to make Meher’s (Urwa Hocane ) life miserable and is ensuring she is treated like a servant in the new house.
She tells her mother-in-law to begin giving Meher household responsibilities while she is treated like a queen in the home, casually sipping coffee while Meher does domestic chores.
But soon Zuni gets the taste of her own medicine. Not only Meher boldly responds to her sarcastic jibes and put her in the right place; Junaid also ends up disappointing her big time.
During the trip to her parent’s home, Zuni scolds Junaid (Haroon Shahid) for owning an old, wrecked car. Suddenly, the car stops working in the middle of the journey and our annoyed antagonist is forced to travel the rest of the route via a cab.
Junaid returns to his home, frustrated for being treated as secondary to his brother and not owning a car as lavish as Zarrar (Imran Abbas). He threatens his mother that they will all suffer if Zuni leaves him. What happens next is even more worrisome. Junaid takes Zarrar’s expensive car to visit Zuni’s parents and attends the dinner thrown in his honor. However, he wrongly parks the car, resulting in the vehicle undergoing an accident and suffering from major damage.
The incident wrecks havoc as Zuni’s parents are furious with Junaid’s poor financial situation. On the other hand, Zarrar loses his cool when he finds out that Junaid has demolished his car by being so irresponsible
Observing it all, Meher feels pathetic and advises Zarrar to move away from his family for some time so that his absence makes their heart go fonder. Of course, Zarrar feels how his mother has started distrusting him, caring less for him and ignoring him altogether.
Meanwhile, Samra (Srha Asghar) is fighting her own battle. Her husband Raheel treats him like filth and Zuni keeps disrespecting her with her evil ways.
The promo of the next episode reveals matters getting worse with Zuni’s parents insulting Zarrar for being a betrayer.
We missed Babar Ali in this episode
Babar Ali as Malik Furqan was missing from the whole episode and so was Gohar Rasheed as Qaiser. Even the promo of the upcoming episode had updates missing from their sub-plot. Qaiser may return as totally cured of his mental illness and may create a major impact on Meher’s life. Else, our heroine will continue to suffer in the toxic household and Zarrar will remain a weakling, burdened by his parents’ anger.
Thumbs up for Haroon Shahid whose performance is as powerful as the rest of the star cast. While he has a supporting role and gets under-shadowed by the ensemble team of stars; he seizes the spotlight in his own way and has proved to us that his acting prowess is getting better with time.
We are excited to see some romance bloom between Urwa and Imran Abbas’s characters. Here’s to hoping that we see all of it happening soon!
